October 1, 2007
Translation of notes taken by the UC History Compilation Committee
This morning Hoon Dok Hae begins with the first-of-the-month pledge service. Mrs. Wonju McDevitt reads chapters 8, 9 and 10 of the Pyunghwa Hoongyeong.
Summary of Father’s words:
From the first day of October to the 15th the Segye Ilbo should print one chapter of the Pyunghwa Hoongyeong each day.
The Pyunghwa Hoongyeong should be published enough so that all the people of Korea can read it. You should carry out your activities for restoring your tribe and for blessing using the Pyunghwa Hoongyeong.
All members of the Unification Movement must do Hoon Dok Hae from five, before the sun rises. You must do Hoon Dok Hae even if it means skipping breakfast.
Blessed families should always take the Pyunghwa Hoongyeong wherever they go.
The great universe is probably 100 billion times the size of the solar system; yet it is floating in space.
God created this infinite world for the sake of humankind. Human civilization began from agriculture and has developed towards an ocean civilization.
Father then elaborates on the many ocean-based initiatives that are being carried out: the factory in North Carolina; his plans to build a shipyard in Goheung, Korea; the Yeosu workshop which trained 3,500 Japanese wives; and the construction of an ocean Cheon Jeong Gung on Geomundo.
I wake up at 1:40 a.m. and from 2:00 a.m. to 4:40 a.m. I do hoondok and exercise before coming to the morning Hoon Dok Hae.
A person who pledges to become an owner should lead a life devoted for the sake of his nation and descendants. ‘Moon Do Huh’ this name means that he has the privilege to study the Moon based religion.
Mr. Huh has what it takes to gather and educate former presidents.
The Korean people are also called, the ‘people clad in white.’ It is because they must stand vigil by the mortuary.
The Korean people are the most qualified ones in human history to attend God.
My elder brother, Yong Soo Moon, already knew that Korea would be liberated on August 15 and about what I, his younger brother, would become. When I was young, if I wasn’t there, he would go looking for me. Then it would happen that we would meet on the road at night. He was an elder brother who really looked after his younger brother. I completed the restoration of Cain as a child.
Its ten months when you count from the first of March to December. You must complete the blessing of all people by then. You must erase all traces of the fall from each family. If you fail to do that by then [nobody] not even the 36 couples of the Unification Church will be able to enter heaven.
Hoon Dok Hae concludes at around 7:00 a.m.
Father departs for Yeosu with his attendants and a number of Hoon Dok Hae participants.
