Note: These notes are taken from a Peace TV video clip. They cannot be published as definitive texts and should never be used in the future as an “official” publication of True Father’s words. However, they do provide a good idea of the “spirit” of the message. Rev. Katsumi Kambashi
After Rev. Chang Shik Yang read Father’s speech, Father talked. The following are some of his words:
“Any group that does not seek a common interest will perish. You are fond of following me but (those who do not have such a concept) are doomed to drop off. In the path of making contributions to creating a new world, you need to help me, and do not be indebted to me.
Public schools are institutes that a nation provides where students study with the help of the nation. Students must study hard and get good marks to prepare themselves for making contributions to that nation in the future. One should not get marks below average and those who are below the expectation of the nation will perish.
When people get together making a group, they should continue to get bigger, and if they become smaller, they will perish without fail. That’s why you must always study and research to develop.”
“It is not Las Vegas but the Hoover Dam that is the center. But the Hoover Dam will not exist without the Grand Canyon, which we must develop.”
“I am a person who invests all and everything till the end.”
“Are you people who receive the Heavenly blessing or punishment? (To a participant who seems to be from Africa:) You do not want to do more difficult work here than you had in Africa? (I like here because Father is here!) Educating with God’s words and helping people in Africa is the only way for you to survive. It is a simple principle. Live like me looking for a more difficult task. I am not a servant to God’s words. I am a person who practices them. I am not a person who sells them. I am not a person who degrades them.”
“You should give my words to your children, and they should understand the words before you die. There are no words like mine.”
(Talking about Sedona, Arizona) “Why do you who live in the US not tell me this? How many times have you been there? Why you did not tell me this as of now? Its name is Sedona and it is the best name.”
“What is the name of the fish that looks like a big fluke? (It is halibut). It jumps from the sea’s surface and is powerfully active in its area in the sea. Once, when I caught it, as time went by, it became weaker and weaker while losing blood. When I saw it, I prayed for it, thinking I was sorry. I will never forget that. This is first time I say this.”
To conclude the meeting, Rev. Yang read Father’s prayer when Father nodded murmuring “Yes” or “Father”.
